Transition towards AI & Clean Energy: Reflections after SETPlan2025
After my participation at SETPlan2025 conference in Odense, Denmark – an experience that gave me the opportunity to take the pulse of European innovation in clean energy. I sat in the audience alongside experts, decision-makers, and industry leaders, feeling how their enthusiasm for a sustainable energy transition fueled my own passion. This event was a defining moment for my professional direction: it confirmed that I want to integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) with clean energy and sustainability in everything I do. Recently, I also completed several essential courses on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Paris Agreement, and the Global Biodiversity Framework, and the knowledge gained has matured my perspective on how technology and policy can work together for a sustainable future.
Essential lessons from SETPlan2025
After the conference, I reflected on several key themes that stayed deeply with me — both in mind and heart:
Just transition – Energy innovation must include all people. A transition toward green energy is truly successful only if it is equitable, leaving no communities behind.
Incremental impact – Great changes also come from small steps. I realized how important step-by-step progress is: every pilot project, every optimization matters in reaching the major climate goals.
Continuous curiosity – Always learning something new is essential in fast-evolving fields. Taking recent courses in critical areas of sustainability reminded me to stay open and eager to continuously expand my knowledge.
The individual role in systemic solutions – No matter how complex global problems are, there is always a role for each of us in solving them. Individual contributions — through ideas, actions, or collaboration — can trigger system-level change when united by a shared vision.
Towards a future aligned with my ikigai
All these lessons connect to the path I choose to follow next. As someone passionate about AI and technology, I now clearly see how I can use my skills to strengthen renewable energy and sustainability projects. Whether it’s optimizing power grids through intelligent algorithms or analyzing data for energy efficiency, I want to contribute to solutions that make a real difference. I feel that this direction — at the intersection of AI, clean energy, and sustainability — is where my talents and values meet, and where I can bring the greatest contribution.
In recent years, I’ve come to understand how important it is to have a clear purpose. For me, integrating AI with clean energy is not only a professional choice but also a personal one, aligned with my own ikigai — that deep motivation to do what I love in the service of the common good. It is, at its core, the passion to build, to contribute, and to innovate with meaning. I remain grounded, aware that sustainable transition requires patience and perseverance, yet it’s precisely incremental impact that gives me confidence that every step counts. I am determined to move forward with sincerity, curiosity, and determination, knowing this is the right direction for me and for the contribution I want to bring to the world.
